SUNWAH LINUX donated RAYS LX Source Code to Macau SAR Government

[25 October 2006, Macau] - At the Opening Ceremony of Macau IT Week 2006, Dr. Johnathan Choi, chairman of the SUNWAH Hi-Tech Group, presented SUNWAH LINUX RAYS LX Source Code to Macau SAR Government. The donation of RAYS Intellectual Property and system source code will benefit Macau’s Open Source and IT development as the Macau Government can freely use and modify RAYS LX Source Code to develop her own open source applications.
Dr. Choi was pleased that SUNWAH could contribute to Macau’s IT development. “I was born in Macau and I have a strong sense of belonging to my homeland. SUNWAH Hi-Tech Group has been investing in Macau for more than 40 years and SUNWAH Hi-Tech Group Macau has established this year to meet the growing demand of IT development in Macau. We will begin by focusing on Open Source human resource development in Macau,” Dr. Choi said.
“It is our honour to donate the Source Code of our flagship product, RAYS LX, to Macau SAR Government. We hope that the donation can help boost Macau’s Linux development,” said Mr. Alex Banh, CEO of SUNWAH LINUX.
